We are looking forward to the 2025 tour that will take place February 3-11, 2025. Can you think of a better time to visit Florida colleges?

Invitations are sent the first week of September; the invitation list is determined by mid-July the summer before the tour. All participants are expected to stay for the tour’s entirety of eight days and visit all twelve colleges.

Travel accommodations

For your $375 commitment fee, counselors and educational consultants who reside in the continental United States will receive round trip airline tickets between your home city and the tour’s origination city as well as the return flight home. Participants outside the continental U.S. will be asked to buy their own airline ticket and will not be charged the commitment fee.

All participants can expect:

  • Double occupancy accommodations in quality hotels– most hotels are suite-style. You will have a roommate. Since the tour is offered during Florida’s tourist season, single room accommodations are not possible.

  • Transportation on a spacious tour bus between all cities, hotels and colleges.

  • Transportation to and from the airport at the beginning and end of the tour.

  • Majority of your meals are provided by the host colleges and universities. Each tour usually has only 3-4 meals “on your own”.

How to secure an invitation

Due to its small size and significant popularity, the Florida Sunshine Tour is an “invitation only” tour. Each college or university that sponsors the Sunshine Tour is asked to specifically invite participants. Names are submitted in July for the following year’s tour. If you have a contact at any of the institutions on the tour, it is suggested you reach out and request they submit your name for the 2025 tour.
