Saint Leo University

One of the Top-Ranked Universities in Florida

As the oldest Catholic institution of higher education in Florida and one of the top universities in Central Florida, Saint Leo University has a century-long tradition of welcoming students of all faiths.

Our liberal arts campus—located 30 miles north of Tampa—educates just over 2,200 students. Total enrollment across our Central Florida campus, nearly 20 regional locations, and online programs is nearly 16,000. Saint Leo offers over 50 undergraduate degrees, programs and endorsements as well as master's, doctoral and certificate programs in the College of Arts & Sciences, Tapia College of Business, College of Education & Social Services, College of Health Professions, and School of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Data Science.

Test-Optional Policy

Saint Leo University has developed a test-optional policy that does not require undergraduate applicants to submit SAT or ACT scores as part of the admissions process should they decide to apply under the test-optional policy. Prospective students who choose not to submit standardized test scores for review will receive full consideration, without penalty, for admission under this policy. Competitive candidates desiring admission under the test-optional policy should demonstrate above average performance in the core academic areas: English, math, science, and social science. In order to make decisions of admission without test scores, the Office of Admissions focuses on individual grades in each core academic class. In this review, we are very interested in consistently strong academic performance throughout a student’s four-year high school record. In cases where initial high school performance is not strong, special attention is given to steady and substantial improvement throughout the sophomore, junior, and senior years.
